Angel Reese called out the officiating in the WNBA after the Chicago Sky lost to the Minnesota Lynx
Reese said she doesn't care if the league fines her for the comments because the officiating "has to be fixed"
The Sky star said she's "been humble" before but is "tired of" the poor officiating
Angel Reese is fed up with the officiating in the WNBA.
After the Chicago Sky lost their 12th game of the season to the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday, July 6, Reese, 23, expressed her frustration with game officials during a postgame press conference.
Reese explained, "It's tough when you talk to officials, and I asked them, 'Hey, we've only been to the free throw line twice up until the fourth quarter,' and she tells me it's not her job."
The Sky star told reporters it's "frustrating" for her "because I know how hard we're battling inside, and I think that we came down and fought as hard as we could with what we had, and I just know we continue to grow in this."

Reese shared a positive takeaway from the 80-75 loss to Minnesota, calling the narrow defeat a "leaping step" for the Sky. But she said the officiating "has to be fixed."
"And I don't give a damn if I get fined because that s--- is cheap, and I'm tired of this s---. 'Cause I've been nice and I've been humble with it but I am tired of this s---," Reese said.
After making her comments postgame, Reese took to X to call out a specific play that she felt should have been called a foul. She reposted a photo of a Lynx player grabbing her waist as she goes to shoot, and wrote, "diabolical."
When another fan posted Reese's quote about not caring if she gets fined for complaining about the referees, Reese wrote, "idgaf. DO BETTER. @WNBA."
Reese was just announced as a WNBA All-Star for the second year in a row. When the league confirmed her selection, her Sky teammates celebrated Reese's honor, as seen in a video shared by the Sky on X. Reese shared the video of the special moment and wrote, "Individual awards are team awards! Wouldn’t be able to do this without them!"
The Sky next face the Washington Mystics in D.C. on July 8.
